If you want the biggest selection of cabinet sizes & the highest quality cabinet, you visit a semi-custom dealer. The catalog is typically 1-3” thick and they will serve you tea and crumpets. The staff will normally be experienced, and you will pay for the quality cabinets and service with a top-tier quote. From start to finish, the order process might take 3-5 months.
The big box stores generally stock a cabinet line with limited selection and bottom-tier quality. In most cases, you will get one of the lowest prices. Your kitchen will be scabbed together with fillers and limited cabinet sizes. Designing a kitchen with a poor catalog is like building a house without a hammer. Your cabinets get drop-shipped, and the seller hopes the dimensions and design are good. When you need a replacement part due to damage or miscalculation, the next steps are stressful and time-consuming.
The other side to the coin is buying from a local store and having your cabinets shipped from the manufacture (typically in USA). In this case, you probably receive better customer service, but the store is at the mercy of the manufacture and their queue. Most kitchens will have some small issue to resolve and you’ll be facing more delays in the resolution.

Can I place an order online and have it delivered?
You can place an order online and pick it up. It will be pulled and ready for pick-up. You have 30-days from your order date to complete the pickup. Additional time is charged a reasonable storage fee. We do not deliver cabinets via our own trucks or ship LTL. In the future, there will be options for contractors and dealers to ship LTL. Yet, for the moment, all sales are sold out the door in Lexington, KY.
