This kitchen features 36″ wall units and plenty of drawers. This Modern farmhouse kitchen transformation took an old farmhouse and gave it 20 years of contemporary style. They framed in the 72″ double frig/freezer. This part at the top had to be built and the builder/customer decided to. The microwave/oven unit was not a combo unit, but two separate appliances. This division of appliances was achieved with a simple 3″ horizonal filler strip. The mud room seat area are basic wall units pulled a few additional inches away from the back wall and furred out just a tad. They are also elevated about 3-4″ and a furniture grade base is used. This customer did use the starter moulding and then applied a final crown to reach the ceiling. I believe the countertop is quartz. The island was purchased unfinished and the customer stained the cabinets for a contrasting look. The bold large kitchen cabinet handles look nice. The countertop, handles, appliances, installation, sink, and faucet were all purchased elsewhere. Every detail contributes to this modern farmhouse kitchen transformation, from the quartz counters to the custom island.
